In a relatively dark space several pairs of bare wire are mounted from the floor to the ceiling. Each pair holds a light DC motor with a propeller. Each motor also holds a LED, which lights up in relation to the voltage on the wires. Because of the lift generated by the propellers the units can rise and hover. Each unit is controlled individually and receives position commands from a computer via MIDI protocol.
